Easy Baked shrimp scampi. Breaded shrimp, baked in a garlic butter sauce. Garlicky, buttery, and full of flavor.

Welcome to the second recipe in our Shrimp Scampi series of recipes. In this version, Baked Shrimp Scampi, we are breading the shrimp, preparing the garlic butter sauce separately, pouring the sauce over the shrimp, and then baking the shrimp in the oven to change up this dish. This recipe is a subtle change, as the first version of this recipe calls for shrimp pan seared in the garlic butter sauce. However, a small change like this really does make a completely different dish and eating experience.

Invent Your Recipe:
Shrimp scampi is so simple and a great tasting dish. This garlic butter sauce will pair well will just about anything. Try it with chicken, pork, steak, or salmon.
If you decide to make this scampi with pasta, I would double the sauce recipe and use the garlic butter sauce on the pasta as well.
The first version of this recipe uses white wine as a main ingredient. In this version of the dish I left the white wine out. You can notice the difference without the wine, the taste is still wonderful, just less amazing. If you do decide to add in the white wine it will be 1 cup. Add the wine to the sauce after the butter has melted and then bring to a simmer. Continue on with the recipe from there.

Try using the sauce with salmon. Drizzle the sauce over the salmon and bake in the oven until golden brown.

If seafood is not your favorite, try this sauce with pasta. Leave out the shrimp, sauté your favorite vegetables in the sauce, and then place over your favorite pasta.
