Quick and Easy Turkey Meatloaf

Quick and Easy Turkey Meatloaf with spaghetti! This is a great change-of-pace option instead of your traditional Mama’s meatloaf.

I grew up in a Italian household, so a lot of my traditional American dishes have an Italian spin. In this instance, I am using marinara sauce on top of the turkey instead of turkey gravy or brown gravy. I highly recommend giving this a try. You are essentially making one large turkey meatball!

The turkey is seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, grated cheese and combined with bread crumbs and egg. I mix everything together well with my hands and then form the turkey into a log if using a baking sheet, or I place the turkey into a loaf pan. You can cook the meatloaf either way.

I bake the meatloaf at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until the turkey reaches and internal temperature of 165 degrees.

INSTRUCTIONS – Quick and Easy Turkey Meatloaf

Preparing the Turkey:

  • In a large mixing bowl combine the ground turkey, garlic, eggs, oregano, Romano cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix all the ingredients well. On a baking sheet form the turkey into a loaf, or place in a loaf pan.
  • Next, spoon the marinara sauce over the turkey meatloaf to cover.

Cooking the Turkey:

  • Place the backing sheet or loaf pan into the oven and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until the turkey has an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

To Serve:

  • Serve this quick and easy turkey meatloaf with a side of pasta.

In our first meatloaf recipe we choose ground turkey. This is the healthier option compared to traditional ground beef meatloaf. This is a great alternative to mix up this classic dish. This recipe can work well with ground beef, pork, or chicken. Try each one and let us know which one you prefer. Mine is ground beef…can’t beat the classic.
You will notice I am using marinara sauce instead of turkey gravy or brown gravy. I prefer the tomato sauce, but if that is not for you, use the gravy of your choosing.
