Quick and Easy Lemon Herb Pork. Boneless pork chops cut into pieces and sautéed in a lemon butter white wine sauce and paired with brown rice and peas.
Welcome to the second recipe in our Lemon Herb Pork series of recipes. In this version, Quick and Easy Lemon Herb Pork, we are using lemon butter white wine sauce to change up this dish. This recipe is a subtle change, as the first version of this recipe calls for broccoli and spaghetti. However, a small change like this really does make a completely different dish and eating experience.

I made a few small changes to this dish to make it unique. The first change I made was coating the pork in flour before pan frying it in the canola oil. This gives the pork a little bit more texture, and a nice crust when pan fried.
I am choosing to pan fry the pork by itself in oil to achieve a golden brown color. Then, to cut out some of the calories, I am draining the oil from the skillet before creating the lemon butter white wine sauce.
You can also choose to use the butter at the beginning of the recipe instead of the canola oil when pan frying the pork. This makes the recipe a little simpler because you are cutting our the canola oil as an ingredient, and the extra step of removing the pork from the skillet to drain off the oil. If you do this, you can leave the butter and pork in the skillet and continue on with the recipe by adding the seasoning, then the lemon and white wine. I like to use the canola oil because I can pan fry at a higher temperature and achieve a nice outer crust on the pork.
The second change to this version of the easy lemon herb pork recipe was adding butter and white wine to the recipe to kick up the flavor. This creates a delicious lemon-butter-white wine sauce that tastes good on just about anything.
The result of the two small recipe changes are super crunchy pork bites bathed in a sweet and flavorful lemon butter sauce.

Invent Your Recipe:
In this version of the recipe I am making small changes to the way the pork is prepared and seasoned. The flour coating adds a nice element of texture, and the lemon butter wine sauce adds a wonderful flavor. You can add even more depth and texture to this dish by adding complementary ingredients such as vegetables, grains, or cheese.
As you can see from the picture of the finished dish I paired the pork with a brown rice and pea mix. I have also made this pork recipe with pasta, as you can see from the first version of this recipe. If you decide to pair this version of the recipe with pasta; cook the pasta separately and add it to the pork at the end and mix well. Experiment with different combinations of complimentary ingredients until you find the flavors and textures that work the best for you.
