How to Make Honey Balsamic Chicken

  • Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees

Preparing the Chicken:

  • Begin by cleaning and trimming the skin and fat from the chicken.
  • Next, season both sides of the chicken with salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and garlic powder.

Cooking the chicken:

  • In an oven safe skillet, add the canola oil and bring to a high heat. Next, place the chicken into the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Next, flip the chicken over and add the balsamic vinegar and honey. Next, sauté the chicken for 5 minutes.

Bringing Everything Together:

  • Remove the skillet from the heat and place into the oven. The below picture shows you what the chicken will look like when it is ready to go into the oven.

  • Bake the chicken at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

  • 2 Chicken Leg Quarters or 4 Chicken Thighs
  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. honey

Honey balsamic sauce is delicious. The balsamic vinegar can be a bit strong, but I just love the tanginess and the flavor. This sauce will also work great with boneless chicken, pork chops, and some seafood, such as salmon, shrimp, and scallops.
If you do not like balsamic vinegar, try this recipe with white, red wine, or apple cider vinegar. I have tried all three combinations and they work, however, balsamic vinegar is my favorite and the one I recommend
