Notes
Invent Your Recipe:For this recipe I am using my bake ziti recipe as the inspiration and changing a few things around for this spaghetti pie. Basically, I am using spaghetti in the place of ziti, and I am removing the ground beef all together. Also, I am baking the spaghetti in a round pan instead of a square or rectangle pan so that I can achieve the look of a “pie”.You can easily make this dish with any other type of pasta, but to maintain the look and feel of the spaghetti pie I would recommend another long pasta, like a fettuccini, linguini, or angel hair.If you would like to add meat into this recipe, it is easy to do so, as my bake ziti recipe uses ground beef or ground turkey. You can use those as an option, or even cut up some cooked sausage into the mixture before baking. Either way, you will need to brown the meat before adding it into the mixture for baking.
