Ingredients
4chicken thighs
2gloves of garlic sliced
½tsp.dried oregano
½tsp.dried basil
½tsp.salt
¼tsp.black pepper
½stick butter
Juice of one lemon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Seasoning the Chicken:
In a large bowl or bag add the chicken thighs, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
Preparing the Chicken:
In a large oven safe skillet on high heat melt the butter and sauté the sliced garlic until golden brown (about 2 minutes).
Next, add the chicken thighs and cook on all sides until the chicken is golden brown (about 2 minutes a side).
Next, add half of the lemon juice to the top of the chicken and place in the oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165 degrees.
Remove the chicken from the oven and add the remaining lemon juice to the top of the chicken. Let the chicken sit for 5 minutes before serving.
To Serve:
Serve with rice or a potato and your favorite vegetable.

There is very little prep involved with this dish, but if you would like to add some texture to the chicken an do not mind a few more minutes of work, dredge the chicken in flour before adding to the hot butter. This will create a little coating for the chicken that will soak up some more of the lemon butter sauce!
