Preparing the Chicken:
Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into 1 inch pieces and seasoning them with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
In a large skillet add the canola oil and bring to a high heat. Next, add in the chicken pieces and pan sear for 6 minutes, flipping after 3 minutes to ensure both sides are seared.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and drain the oil.
Bringing Everything Together:
Continuing on medium heat, add the chicken back to the skillet. Next, add in the butter and honey.
Sauté the chicken for 5 minutes, mixing occasionally, or until a nice glaze has formed around the chicken.
To Serve:
Serve the honey glazed chicken bites with a green vegetable and a side of rice or potatoes.
Notes
Invent Your Recipe:This is the second version of our honey glazed chicken recipe. The first version used chicken thighs and did not have any oregano in the seasoning.Honey butter sauce is very simple to make, just combine the two with some heat and mix well until it thickens. This sauce will make anything taste good really. I would also recommend trying this sauce with beef bites, turkey bites, pork bites, shrimp, and scallops. It will even work well with vegetables to make a tasty vegetarian dish.
