Green Beans with Garlic and Onions. Green beans sautéed in garlic and oil and mixed with a simple tomato sauce.

This is a great #meatlessmonday option. Couple this with your favorite grains, or maybe just a nice piece of crusty Italian bread for dipping!

I just love this dish! The crunch of the green beans, sweetness of the tomatoes, and savory taste of the garlic. What a great combination of flavor and texture!

Green Beans with Garlic and Onions

A few times I have made this green beans with garlic and tomatoes dish as an appetizer or small dish offering with some nice toasted Italian bread. The sauce left behind by the tomato paste, olive oil, and garlic is amazing with crunchy bread.

Invent Your Recipe:

This is the second iteration of our green beans with garlic and onions recipe. In the first version we added in diced tomatoes when sautéing the green beans. In this version, we are using tomato paste and some water to make a quick marinara sauce.

If you are not a fan of tomatoes or marinara sauce, leave out the tomato paste in this recipe. Sauteed garlic and onions is full of flavor and will be delicious with the green beans.
