How to Make Wheat Pasta with Garlic and Oil

01 Prepare the whole wheat pasta

02 Sauté the garlic in oil

03 Sauté the Broccoli

04 Add in cooked pasta

05 Add in seasoning and cheese

06 Serve the Wheat Pasta with Garlic and Oil

Prepare the Pasta

Prepare the whole grain pasta according to the package instructions for al dente pasta. Before you strain the pasta save off 4 oz. of pasta water.

Sauté the Garlic

While the wheat pasta is cooking, place a large skillet on medium heat and add the extra virgin olive oil. When oil is hot, add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden, about 1-2 minutes

Sauté the Broccoli

Add in the broccoli and sauté for 5 minutes, mixing occasionally.

Add in Cooked Pasta

Next, add in the cooked pasta and saved pasta water. Mix to combine everything.

Add in Seasoning and Cheese

Add in the salt, ground black pepper, and grated cheese. Cook for 5 minutes while mixing occasionally

Serve the Wheat Pasta with Garlic and Oil

Add more grated cheese to serve. Serve with toasted Italian bread.
